Also cable keyboards are insecure – there are physical keyloggers!

As I wrote here, wireless keyboards are insecure, because it’s very easy to capture the data that the keyboards are sending in the air, and here I do not want to say anything about the suspect that those wireless waves are unhealthy

How to be more secure? How can we prevent people from capturing our keystrokes?

The first thing that comes into my mind is the cable keyboard! In this way our data cannot be captured by anybody, because everything goes through the cable. We can also have a password or more to access to our computer, so that nobody is going to install any keylogger or other malicious software…

All these possibilities are good choices, but even using a keyboard with a cable, there is a risk.

There are “physical” keyloggers, as you can see here.

It’s as easy as unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back into the computer! Everybody you don’t trust can do it to you, just pay attention, especially if you live in a dormitory and many people can access to your room and have physical access to your computer.

There are many of those keyloggers, there is the white and black version. They attach the PS/2 cables as this one on the picture.

But what about USB keyboards?? You think you are sure? Well… there is also the USB version of this keylogger, but it costs something more.

They are bad simple things, because they can captures EVERYTHING typed on your keyboard, like E-mail, instant messaging, chat room activity, website addresses, and much, much more, just “everything”, and they are compatible with every operating system.

Here you can see the usb version for sale on Amazon. This one has even the capability to register date and time the keys were captured!! Amazing!
Now that you know this, you will feel more secure, because you know something more about protecting your privacy.
